World's Greatest Guitarist - Newsletter #1

Hello John,

trio infernale

Chances are you weren't sitting in your room depressed, wondering when the first ever WGG newsletter would arrive in your inbox. If you did, dry your tears immediately. ;-)

Finally... the wait is over. Here's the first issue of your World's Greatest Guitarist newsletter.

Why did it take so long?

We weren't busy cruising around the carribean, doing shopping sprees in New York or endlessly contemplating whether to buy a Lamborghini or yet another Ferrari for our 37th car.....

No, on top of our other regular commitments, be it teaching guitar, gigging, rehearsing, studying or simply practicing, we've been active in setting up all our background systems to ensure smooth operations once we fully launch.

It's been a lot of work, but finally we are getting there...

John, what's next?

First we'll be filling the sections we've already started and add the missing content – lessons, diagrams, audio demonstrations and backing tracks.

Then we'll expand until we've covered every great guitar player out there.
At least, that's the plan. ;-)

Thanks for your patience, we appreciate having you on board with us.

Words of Wisdom

Because he won the first WGG election in June we want to feature a quote by Steve Vai. Something to think about...

"It takes a lot of discipline to be very proficient on your instrument. You have to really exercise your willpower, reach down really deep within and pull out stuff you never knew you had, strength you never bothered to find before."

Steve Vai

Time for a Laugh

A young, single woman is feeling very ill and has an extensive series of tests done by her doctor.  After weeks of tests and more tests, the doctor calls her in.  He tells her, "I have to be frank with you the test results are not good.  You have an incurable disease, and it is terminal. I would think you have no more than six months to live."

Devastated, she sobbingly asks the doctor, "Is there anything I can do?"
The doctor says, "Well, if I were you I would run out and marry a guitar player ASAP."
She asks, "How will that help my illness?"

The doctor says, "Oh it won't help your illness; but it will make that six months seem like an eternity!"
